Lots of sun and t-shirt temperatures even in winter. The south-westerly tip of Europe attracts winter refugees with azure skies, craggy cliffs and relaxed lifestyle. Foto Locations Algarve: The most beautiful photo spots in southern Portugal
Ponte da Piedade sunrise
Our favorite coast is just steps away from the center in Lagos. Especially at sunrise, the light hits the steep curve here and forms a breathtaking view.
Sunset at Cabo de São Vicente
Not far from the most south-westerly point of Europe, Sagres, lies the lighthouse Cabo de São Vicente. Anyone who has been in the Algarve and has not spent any sunset here should make up for it.
Costa Vicentina and around Aljezur
The Costa Vicentina is the western part of the Algarve and hardly used as a national park. The secluded coastal sections are legendary among surfers, but also for taking photos, hiking and just relaxing in one of the most pleasant places in Europe – especially in early winter.
Everywhere in the Algarve and especially inland you will find many small villages. Some are extinct, others are spruced up. Here you must go on a discovery tour yourself and find the photogenic places yourself.
Discover cliff line: Praia da Marinha and more
Especially between Lagos and Portimao are some hidden photo gems. Praia da Marinha, Benagil Cave and a good dozen more photo spots. Along the cliffs there are numerous rugged rock formations that capture and train the photographic view. The most beautiful motifs can be found while hiking along the coast.
